While I agree it doesn't exactly seem fair, you have to remember that Holden is owned by GM. They are notorious for making dumb decisions. Why they too so long to bring the Astra over here still boggles my mind. Even after we get our version of it, it's not near as good as the European one. Why NA gets the shaft on good cars has never made sense to me. I'm sick of boring, slow, uninspiring cars. We should have got the real STi's long ago, as well as the Civic Type R, Astra OPC/VXR, and the real EVO. We get all the watered down versions.
And that's why new cars are ghey, and Fords from the Clevo era are pure win. Fix anything on them with an adjustable spanner and get some monstrous torque from fuck all work.
Plus GM's ideas of replacing technology and R&D with displacement and blowers is just utterly retarded. We are in a world where fuel consumption is a big thing, who the fuck wants a supercharged 6.2L V8 in a car that is supposed to be driven every day, when they could get a European car thats twice as good on fuel with comparible power for a little bit more money? They also don't know how to make cars turn.
Now i'll get onto V8 Supercars Australia. Utterly retarded racing series which should be scrapped in favour of something which actually has some relevance to the street cars. Yeah, VE's and FG's running control brakes, front and rear suspension setups, soon to be control chasis and they both run 5L's. The people that run this series are a bunch of fucking retards.
