I have dissected one, it's pretty nifty. Pretty sure all the tension that keeps the pawl ramps from spinning as you pedal comes from the sideload from the driver side cone.

Here's some pictures from Kurts coverage of Interbike this year.

Looks like the set screws on the pawl ramp piece tighten down on the bushing giving it some friction on the axle.  The pawls look like they get restricted down into the hub with a traditional pawl clip.

As long as there's more friction there at the "ramps" than the clip puts on the pawls, then everything will function fine.

The pawl ramps look like they function identical to the way the Eastern/Ezra hub works, in that as the pawls move forward they slide up on ramps on a washer next to them pushing them up to engage the ratchet ring.

The big difference between this and the Eastern, though is that the Blind has a totally different ratchet ring that has it's teeth spaced out a lot more to allow more slack at times.  Makes me wonder though, if the slack stays consistent all the time?

Man, it's obviously just me, but that dude is not a pleasure to watch. Hes got some cool stuff and that promo should show the ability to go backwards, it just seemed rushed and unpolished.

that was also my first impression with a random barspin

This is my thinking too. If you are going backwards then those teeth are moving past pretty fast and the spacing becomes completely irrelevant, if you inadvertently crank forwards enough to raise a pawl, then it IS going to try to engage.
However, it may be that the wider spacing will help when pedaling forwards in a normal style because the pawls will have a little more time to fully raise before hitting a tooth so they are likely to be fully engaged rather than on the very corner of the tip... then again it is still a "crash" engagement that I can see being very hard on all the parts and those flipable ratchet rings dont have the best reputation for strength to start with.

I normally try to resist dissecting other companies products but this is too interesting to pass up so I have tried to be balanced, but I am obviously biased so completely ignore everything I have written or at least treat it with a huge amount of scepticism and assume I am lying.

Finally saw the video.  You guys are fucking crazy.  That had some really good backwards clips.  If you want to talk shit on the guy, tell him to get a hair cut or something.  Or to not ride green tires.  But I was pleasantly surprised with a bunch of clips in this video.

Hater's gon hate.

Also, props to Eclat for actually putting out a product related video when their product will actually be available.  All of the #comingsoon bull shit is for the birds.

displeasure and hate are pretty diffferent when you look at it. I just didnt enjoy it that much. hell, Ian schawrtz's first line in the lotek video is more enjoyable than all three minutes of that.

The best BMX film ever was the film all over my balls after I fell into an oil-slicked puddle trying a bunnyhop over it.
