A cool update, but I only run non-driveside pegs, so I'm not really sweating it.

Is it just me or do the new front hubs from ody/Gsport look overly chunky again? Have we passed the skinny/lightweight hub era and back to big hubs for all the street assassins out there?
48s will be back next.....

I've always ran Vandero and am using the marmoset hubby for like 7 or 8 years or whenever t came out. Gsport is top quality.

Yep, there's nothing skimpy about the Marmoset. Between that and my Ratchet, I don't think I'm going to "need" a new wheelset for years to come.

I think some of my parts are 11 years old now. Not riding hard enough...

Eclat abandoned long standing standards so they could increase handlebar strength in an area that handlebars never fail. Why?

For the crazy big sizes of bars these days and all the leverage that they have. Maybe they don't break there but I'd guess that they slip in the stem easier.
BSD have brought out their own version too.

Maybe the oddy cranks are because you can use them either way for drive side?

Fuck knows why they're doing d-locks that you can open with a biro tho.

I cbf finding out what you are referring to, but if they've increased clamping area diameter, their thinking might be to reduce torsion fatigue around there. At the cost of it being easier to crush the bars out of round...

Yea thats what they did. Bars always break at the bend up near the grip though. I have never had a pair fail near the stem.

I saw heaps of 4pcs break in the 90's down there (being a HAZ and before post-welding heat treating) and likewise I've not witnessed it  personally in the modern 2pc era, but I have seen a couple cases of it in the scene in the last 5 years. Certainly not enough to infer an epidemic, hell not even enough to rule out freak occurrence :0

Good to see you BTW, how goes the bursitis? I ended up getting it in my shoulder but after a few cycles of cortisone injections it came good

Volume Mad Dog bars, Fit Benny L bars and Shadow 13b bars are yhe only bars I have had break at the bottom.. two being overseas made 4 piece bars.. doesn't seem like an issue but whatever.. expensive options for whoever may need it.
